Riverdance visits Oberhausen
Well after a rather long travel day by bus, we arrived into Oberhausen late in the evening with only enough time to get food and head to bed as we were all wrecked from our travel day.

I am Deirdre Hamilton, a lead dancer with the Corrib company. We have just recently begun our European tour. At the moment we are in Germany and getting ready to head to Russia very soon! Exciting stuff. I am going to be giving you all a little inside look on what the life of a lead dancer in Riverdance is like!
In Fayetteville, I traveled with some fellow cast members to Combs, Arkansas where we rented Dune Buggies and rode for the day through the muddy terrain and rivers of Combs’ National Forest. Six of us rented two-seater dune buggies and had a guide show us through the forest.
Anthony Fallons time teaching Ross Anthony aka Rossy on the hit German dance show “YES WE CAN DANCE”. He taught Ross Anthony the male principle role of “Riverdance” for a live performance on prime time German television.
Sunday we were on the move again to Berlin, which meant another flight to catch but it was an evening flight so we were able to have a little lie in, but unfortunately we all woke up to the sad news that Stephen Gately had passed away tragically RIP. We were very sad as we all had grown up with Boyzone at home in Ireland and had being huge fans of them in our youth.
Zurich is a very picturesque city with loads of excellent restaurants to choose from. The evening was so nice that a group of us decided to sit outside while eating, and take in the beautiful sights at hand.
University of Arkansas is located here, so there was plenty of nightlife to keep us busy after the shows. The downtown area boasts of parks, restaurants and shops, and it was nice to spend some days exploring what Fayetteville has to offer.

Our final week in Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island was a great way to end our Canadian portion of the farewell tour. It is always nice to spend more than one week in any given place, because you really get the chance to meet locals and feel like you live in that place. We were certainly able to do so in Charlottetown, especially in such a small city.
