Well we finally made it to the last week of tour, and its also the very last week of the Corrib Company so we tried to make it one to remember.

We have had a good deal of split weeks this tour, so we were glad to be in Raleigh, North Carolina for an entire week. Flying into Raleigh went rather smoothly and we were at the hotel early enough to enjoy the evening. The hotel was located right in the middle of downtown, so we were close to lots of restaurants, shops, and of course a couple of nice pubs to enjoy!
….another busy week for the Riverdance workshops, where members of the Riverdance troupe coach local Irish dancers and Irish Dance schools in Irish Dancing as the tour travels troughout the UK.
Anthony, Chris, Laura and Donna undertook a workshop with a large group of dancers from a local Southampton Irish Dance school.
We were very excited to get to Oxford – there is so much to see and do here. The famous University and its grounds, The famous Hogwarts Hall from Harry Potter, the Jamie Oliver restaurant and many more restaurants and shops.
The hotel in Roanoke was a gorgeous historic hotel that is on the historic hotel registry in America. It was built during the Civil War to be a connection for the railroad and has evolved over time…. it was nice to be in such a historical building for the couple of days we were in Roanoke.
World champion dancer Anthony Sharkey reunited with former Riverdance female lead, Eileen Martin for a special once-off version of Riverdance in Glór on Saturday, April 10 in aid of Clare Crusaders
The Clare Crusaders help Children with Special Needs in the areas of CerebralPalsy, Autism, DownSyndrome and a variety of other conditions.
It was nice to be beside the sea again but unfortunately the weather wasn’t as nice this week. Also the World Irish Dancing Championships were on in Glasgow so a few of the dancers took a few days off to go a see the competitions and also to collect their TCRG certificate.
On Monday, we had an early bus journey to Utica, New York. Opening night at Utica’s Stanley Performing Arts Center, the theatre held a reception for us and some local patrons. After mingling with audience members and posing for a few pictures, relaxing with hors d’oeuvres and some drinks was a lovely way to spend the evening.
On Monday, many of us spent the day in New York City, meeting up with friends and catching shows and concerts. Tuesday morning, we all piled into cars and headed up to Binghamton, New York. The entire company spent most of our time there, sipping coffee, eating delicious food.
