Six cities and 1,538 miles in one week!

This week, we travelled to six cities and covered approximately 1538miles in two coaches; the ‘loud coach’ catering for people who may want to chat, watch DVDs etc and the ‘quiet coach’ for those who wish to remain silent for an entire journey.

Padraic Moyles segment on CAREER DAY to air in March

Riverdance Principal Dancer Padraic Moyles will be featured in a segment on the nationally-syndicated U.S. magazine program called CAREER DAY. The interview was shot in Los Angeles when Riverdance was at the Pantages Theatre in November, 2011. His segment will air the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day, March 17-18.

Julian Erskine, the Irish senior executive producer of the musical sensation Riverdance, knows he’s done a good job if people dance out of the theater after a performance.
That was how he felt when he came to China with Riverdance.

Saying goodbye to North America

Even so, the end of the road is nearing. The show is currently on an 82-city farewell North American tour that’s winding across the U.S. and Canada and ends in June. This month, the show left Texas, hit the Southeast and next goes to the Plains.

Riverdance Bringing Final Tour To Fort Smith

The international Irish-dance sensation known as the Riverdance Tour will hop and step into Fort Smith one final time this month.
Part of the Riverdance Final U.S. Tour will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Fort Smith Convention Center, 55 S. Seventh St. The all-ages concert will be as much of a joy for those onstage as it will be for anyone seated in the audience, said Padriac Moyles, a principal dancer with the tour.

Today, I am about to embark on another exciting tour with ‘Riverdance’. For the next five months, I will be travelling across USA & Canada, to over 80 destinations, performing to thousands of people every week and ultimately living my dream.

Farewell Éire – Hello U.S.A.

Well this week began with the old ritual of taking down of the suitcase from my attic and since Hawaii wasn’t all too long ago, my case happens to be cobweb-free. (Sigh of relief!)
