“The best Riverdance moment for me was my first. The first city I danced in was Omaha, Nebraska. Everyone was so welcoming & I was excited to be there.”

Opening night went very well. We sold out for the entire week in Beijing and there was great energy among the cast. In attendance to the show were the Irish Ambassador of China and the Irish Olympic Boxing team. They took time out from their vigorous schedules and were able to see the show and meet the cast afterwards.
It was hard to believe that we reached our final city in Japan, but Osaka was a great place to end our run in this wonderful country. Osaka is often dubbed the second city of Japan and boasts of a population in its metropolitan area of 17.2 million people. It was a switch to be back in such a large city after our split weeks, but a good one at that.
With a few of Japan’s major cities under our belt the company ventured to four cities in two weeks and each city that we visited had its own character to set it apart from the others. A common thing that we have seen so far this tour has been canals and rivers flowing throughout each city and these two weeks were not any different.
The last two weeks of our month long stay in Tokyo went very well. Even with our busy schedule of 8 shows per week, the cast was able to continue seeing the sites of Tokyo. The city is so vast, even 4 weeks is not enough time to see it all.
Welcome back to the Corrib, only this time we have left Europe and have headed over to the Far East. This is the first time I have traveled with the Corrib Company and things are well under way. Our first stop on this tour was to Sendai.
After a well deserved break off for Christmas, everyone returned fully refreshed and excited for the tour ahead – Patricia takes us through the 3 month European tour.
The end of January saw us, back again in Germany, in Freiberg, one of the cities from my first tour and I remember the office well because I had a window with a stunning view of the mountains; this is a rarity. Normally the company office is a in a bunker somewhere in the depths of the venue…
After our hectic 2 weeks in the big smoke of Chicago, Wausau, Wisconsin offered a calming retreat to unwind after the hustle and bustle of the big city.
