Riverdance – Last stop Japan and a well deserved week off!

It was hard to believe that we reached our final city in Japan, but Osaka was a great place to end our run in this wonderful country. Osaka is often dubbed the second city of Japan and boasts of a population in its metropolitan area of 17.2 million people. It was a switch to be back in such a large city after our split weeks, but a good one at that.

Riverdance – Four Fast-Paced Cities in 2 weeks!

With a few of Japan’s major cities under our belt the company ventured to four cities in two weeks and each city that we visited had its own character to set it apart from the others. A common thing that we have seen so far this tour has been canals and rivers flowing throughout each city and these two weeks were not any different.

Riverdance – The end of Tokyo, on to Nagoya

The last two weeks of our month long stay in Tokyo went very well. Even with our busy schedule of 8 shows per week, the cast was able to continue seeing the sites of Tokyo. The city is so vast, even 4 weeks is not enough time to see it all.

Chicago commenced with a bang as we descended upon the Windy City with excitement and anticipation. Everyone was thrilled at the prospect of being in such a metropolis, full of brilliant sightseeing, shopping, cuisine, and nightlife. In addition to all of its attractions, we would be there for a full two weeks, another exciting enticement.

Riverdance spends a week in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

On arrival to Pittsburgh we all got a big city feel for the first time in a while and we were looking forward to being in one city for a full week. As the convergence point of three major rivers — the Allegheny, the Monongahela and the Ohio — Pittsburgh was once described as the only city in America with an entrance.

Riverdance in Lawerence, KS, Detroit, MI, Syracuse, NY & Erie, PA

From Kentucky we moved to Kansas and to the quaint town of Lawrence. Lawrence is truly a college town with a vitality and diversity uniquely its own. The city is home to two universities: the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University.
