In June 2012, Riverdance will return for an unprecedented ninth consecutive summer season in the Gaiety Theatre since “coming home” to Dublin in 2004.
Riverdance is back in Los Angeles for the last time for a special limited engagement run. On Tuesday, dancers from the show performed “Trading Taps”… on Fox 11 Good Day LA and also showed Steve a few moves.
Members of the cast of RIVERDANCE will make a special appearance on THE PRICE IS RIGHT, hosted by Drew Carey, airing Thursday, November 17 on CBS-TV from Los Angeles, California.
This new piece, which is being introduced into an existing item in the show, a choral number called Shivna, gives the female lead dancer an opportunity to show off her grace and elegance in this beautiful soft-shoe number. Riverdance were excited to premiere the number in the Shannon Company when it commenced its autumn tour in Costa Mesa, receiving its first performance on Friday 28th October.
Like an Energizer bunny with killer calf muscles and especially good posture, Riverdance just keeps on going.
The latest touring production bills itself as the Farewell Tour! but no closing date has been announced. As long as fans of Irish dance continue to flock to theaters, Riverdance will likely endure.
