Riverdance in Amarillo and El Paso

This Monday, we had a short bus journey to Amarillo, Texas for the first three shows of the week. The Amarillo Civic Center was attached to an ice hockey rink, so we were very cold at work the first few days! In fact, after being in California for a couple of months, being in Amarillo was a very cold awakening to the winter!

Riverdance visit Bielefeld and Karlsruhe

We are into our second spilt week in a row in Germany and the exciting thing about this week is we get to celebrate Gillian Madders 21st birthday.

Riverdance visits Kunming and Chongqing

For most of the company, last Monday was like any other travel day this tour, except the flight to Kunming didn’t leave until around 9pm, so everyone got to enjoy another day off in Chengdu. On the contrary, about 20 company members traveled to Changsha instead on three separate flights to participate in a Chinese television show. I was included in the group who did the television show and it was an adventure to say the least.

A split week in Mesa, AZ and Albuquerque, NM!

Happy February everyone! This week on tour we started a stretch of split weeks, where we perform in two cities per week. This generally means a lot more traveling, packing and an extra need for sleep…at least for me!

Riverdance visits Magdeburg and Kiel

We arrived into Magdeburg on Saturday evening and we were all very excited to have both Saturday night and Sunday night off to relax and do what we want. A few people decided to get something to eat and head out on the Saturday night.

Riverdance in Phoenix, Arizona

This week we headed to Phoenix, Arizona to the expansive and impressive Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa. This hotel holds a place in American history, housing such celebrities as Fred Astaire, Marilyn Monroe and Steven Spielberg as well as every U.S. President since the hotel was built (up to George W. Bush that is!).

A Week in Chengdu…

Our weekend off in Chengdu continued into Monday with different company members partaking in different activities. One popular activity was to visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. That’s a long title! This is the biggest park for Pandas in all of China. I have personally never seen a live Panda Bear before, so I was quite excited for the experience.

Riverdance sells out in Copenhagen!

Monday we flew to Copenhagen, but we weren’t sure looking out at the plane weather or not we would be able to take off as it had started to snow heavily again. Thankfully they are used to this weather here in Scandanavia and it doesn’t create any problems for them… unlike at home.

Lots More To Do and See with Riverdance in LA!

This week in L.A. was a rainy one! After a whole first week of sightseeing, the daily rainstorms were encouragement enough to take it a bit easier around the town. On Monday, we had a rare “Golden Day” in which we didn’t have to travel, so we took advantage of it!
