On their first day in Beijing Conor Hayes and Joanne Doyle visited an Institution of Dance for a workshop with the students.
A group of forty local dancers ranging in age from 4 to 70 years performed their own version of the Wake for Joanne and Conor. They were then treated to a short extract from Heartland by the two Riverdance leads.
Following this performance Joanne and Conor led a workshop where they taught the students some Irish Dancing steps.
They were quick learners and to end the session the Chinese dancers performed their new steps to music with Conor and Joanne. Many members of the Chinese press and media were present and the studio erupted into applause at the end.
