Riverdance at Expo Dubai 2020

Bringing Riverdance’s Creativity to the World
Riverdance has developed a special show for EXPO 2020 Dubai which will bring a dynamic, multi-cultural experience drawing from traditional and contemporary music and dance, including artists from the Middle East region, as a unique and special production.

With 22 live performances at Jubilee Park, the largest performance venue at EXPO 2020 Dubai and a programme of 52 masterclasses and pop-up music and dance performances, Riverdance will open with a gala performance on 4th November 2021 and run throughout the rest of the month.

Riverdance is a major, flagship event for EXPO which also gives significant visibility to Ireland. It will be one of the largest and longest-running shows at EXPO Dubai—a testament to the enduring quality of the production and the emotional impact of the show.

Expo 2020
Expo 2020 Dubai takes place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. It is the first ever World Expo to take place in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region. Ireland is one of 85 of the 191 participating countries that has designed and built its own pavilion.
Expo 2020 is taking place in the Expo Village in the Dubai South district, on a site measuring more than half the size of Dublin’s Phoenix Park. The master plan is organised around a central plaza enclosed by three large thematic districts – Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability – and includes extensive exhibition, performance and conference facilities.
The theme of Expo 2020 Dubai is ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, with three sub-themes of sustainability, mobility and opportunity. These themes are reflected in the programme of events and activities that will take place across the Expo site during Expo’s six-month programme.
