Laoise Kennedy from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary Ireland is a young fiddler whose remarkable musicianship has placed her among the most exciting young performers in Irish traditional music. A six-time All-Ireland champion at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, she has earned titles on fiddle across multiple age groups, as well as claiming the prestigious Fiddler of Dooney title in 2024, Féile Oriel fiddle champion in 2023 and Young Fiddler of London in 2022. Laoise’s fiddle style is notable for its fusion of traditional Irish fiddling with a high level of technical mastery, which comes from both her classical training and her deep immersion in Irish traditional music.
In 2024 Laoise fulfilled a life- long dream of playing fiddle with Riverdance at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, marking a major milestone in her emerging professional career. Laoise is also a champion Irish dancer with the Flynn O’Kane Academy, has brought her artistry to international audiences, performing dance on world stages.
