RIVERDANCE will entertain The Right Hon. Julia Gillard, MP, Prime Minister of Australia at the Lansdowne Club Luncheon in Sydney on ST PATRICK’S DAY.

RIVERDANCE as part of its Australian tour will open at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from March 18th until March 27th.

The St Patrick’s Day business lunch, at the Lansdowne Club, is the largest of its kind in the world and this year joining the 1,250 guests will be The Hon. Julia Gillard MP,  Prime Minister of Australia;  The Hon.Tony Abbott, MHR,  Federal Leader of the Opposition;  Ms. Kristina Keneally, Premier of NSW;  Mr. Barry O’Farrell MP, Leader of the NSW Opposition;  Mr. Tony Kelly MP Minister for Planning, Infrastructure and Lands and Irish Minister of State, Ms. Frances Fitzgerald T.D. Minister for Children.

The Lansdowne Club is the premier Irish Business Network in Australasia.  This year is the 25th anniversary of the Club which was formed in 1986 to provide Irish born Australians with a wonderful opportunity to establish contact amongst fellow members, or to simply stay in touch.

Today, with the support and endorsements from bodies such as the Embassy in Canberra and the Department of Foreign Affairs, it is not only a great way for members to work together but also an important catalyst in facilitating bilateral trade between Ireland, Australia and the Asia Pacific Region.

I would love to see the show but again WA gets snubbed why should all these events go to the eastern states and we have to travel all the time share the events around or make the east travel to WA.
