Dance class with Riverdance at the Gaiety

NEW for this season at the Gaiety Theatre, Riverdance will include a pre show dance class with members of the Riverdance cast at no additional cost at Friday 5:30 shows. Groups must be purchased through the Groups Marketing Coordinator to avail of the classes.

Last Friday, a group of young Irish dancers from Belfast took part in the dance class with the following feedback…

Meave Croke, dance captain instructs the class

I thought I would put together a few words to express our sincere thanks for the wonderful time our group of dancers and parents had on our visit to Riverdance.

Many thanks must go to you for your organisation of the dance class with Maeve Croke, the phenomenally talented Dance Captain who led the class. The group loved learning what everyone thinks of as the signature dance of the show and Maeve was such a generous tutor in time and patience. It was sensational to be allowed on the stage of the Gaiety Theatre and to meet the cast and have group photos taken with them. The show itself was brilliant with the energy and professionalism of the dancers and performers showing through with every movement and note.

It was an added bonus for us that one of the cast, Lauren Smyth, was known to our group as some of the girls had danced with her in competition and your principle male dancer for the show, Brendan Dorris, was from Belfast, so a local boy for us.

Again thanks for a memorable day.
